HOP INTO EASTER....BLOG HOP

Bonjour et Hello

Welcome to Seashore Stampers March Blog Hop.
This month we are doing Easter theme

I used the Masking Tape Colouring technique to create
the colour bands on the daffodils

Here are the steps to recreate the masking tape colour technique

Step 1

Stamp your image.
I used the row of daffodils from You're Inspiring stamp set

Tear off  2 strips of masking tape longer than the image.

Step 2

Place one strip of the masking tape (adhesive side down) directly
on the Daffodil Delight ink pad and rub gently on the tape
to make the ink stick to the adhesive strip.

Repeat with the Garden Green ink pad.

Lift the masking tape strip off the Daffodil Delight ink pad
and move the tape over to ink up another portion of the tape and
rub gently on the tape to make the ink stick to the adhesive strip

Repeat with the Garden Green ink pad

 Step 3

Place the Daffodil Delight inked masking tape on the flower portion
of the image and rub your finger gently over the masking tape
to transfer the Daffodil ink to the cardstock

 Step 4

Peel the tape off gently

The ink should stay on the image

Place the Garden Green inked masking tape on the stem portion
of the image and rub your finger gently over the masking tape
to transfer the green ink to the cardstock

Peel the tape off gently

You should have 2 coloured bands
If you wanted the colours to be darker, re-ink the masking tapes
by following steps 2, 3 and 4.

Finished card

I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop the daffodil image and
used adhered the bunny directly on the card
behind the popped up panel.

  1. I just love the bunny peeking from behind. At first I didn't see him but what a pleasant surprise. Nice job Miran.
